When asked three words to describe himself, Mitch answered "MR. NICE GUY."

Detroit, Michigan based Designer, Mitchell Curtis “aka Bubbles” created The Bubble King brand in the 70’s. After 45 years, Mitchell is now presenting his fine art collection consisting of 70s inspired art and collages made of intricate shapes and design. He turns to SyFy and psychedelic pop art for inspiration. But it was his near death experience underwater that was the turning point for his creative focus.

While underwater and racing to the surface for air, he opened his eyes and followed the bubbles to safety. Mitchell’s bubbles represent the strong connections between loved ones, especially family connections.

Mitchell spent time studying at Lawrence Technological University and ArtCenter College of Design. Mitchell is constantly experimenting and largely considers himself a self-taught artist. Mitchell enjoys spending hours meticulously cutting shapes while watching SyFy. Other artists Mitchell admires includes Peter Max, The Rolling Stones, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Jackson Pollack, and Wes Wilson.
